Questions to Settle Before the Next GLP-1 Program Charge

Before a renewal, separate the membership payment, prescription decision and pharmacy order. Six programs’ public documents show why cancellation and refunds need different questions.

The most important date in a GLP-1 program may not be the day a package arrives. A renewal can occur while insurance is being reviewed, a prescription can become nonrefundable before shipment, and canceling a membership may leave an existing pharmacy order untouched. Before the next charge, ask three separate questions: What payment is scheduled, what service does it buy, and how far has the medication order progressed? A single “cancel” request may not resolve all three.

This guide examines public documentation from CoreAge Rx, Ro, Enhance.MD, Success by Sesame, Walgreens Weight Management and Found, consulted October 19, 2026. Their arrangements differ substantially, and several pages conflict with other documents from the same business. The goal is not to select treatment or declare which company has the best contract. It is to help you obtain a usable written answer before money moves, especially when a renewal notice, refund request or pharmacy delay creates uncertainty.

Start with the next transaction, not the advertised monthly price

Ask the program to identify the next charge’s exact date, amount, billing interval and purpose. Ro illustrates why this matters: membership costs $39 for the first month, then $149 monthly on the monthly plan. Alternatives advertise $99 per month equivalent prepaid every three months, $89 prepaid every six months, or as low as $74 with annual prepayment. Medication is additional. The membership includes a personalized plan, insurance concierge, messaging, check-ins, coaching and laboratory testing if necessary; it is not a medication purchase.

Sesame advertises a $99 month-to-month option and subscriptions starting at $59 per month with an annual subscription, excluding medication. But one passage calls the shorter option monthly while another specifies advance billing every 28 days. Enhance.MD similarly pairs month-labeled plans with week-based billing. Your price questions beyond the monthly headline should therefore include the actual debit date and prepaid amount, rather than assuming that “monthly” means the same calendar day each month.

Establish whether renewal is automatic—and what a notice actually promises

CoreAge Rx’s help center describes a one-time purchase or optional subscription, with automatic renewal only for the subscription. Its FAQ instead says there are no automatic rebills, yet also describes refill notification and charging the card. Its refund policy provides for subscription cancellation to prevent future renewal charges. Those statements do not establish one clear arrangement for every checkout. Ask which purchase type your account contains, whether payment authorization remains active and whether a refill notice requires your affirmative approval.

Enhance.MD’s FAQ says membership automatically renews every 28 days; product pages also list longer billing periods. Its terms say subscriptions renew unless canceled before the next cycle and direct readers to checkout for full terms. Found recommends canceling or pausing at least 48 hours before renewal. None of these passages establishes a universal advance-notice schedule. Ask whether reminders are sent, but do not treat the absence of a reminder as confirmation that a scheduled charge has disappeared.

Get a cancellation deadline and a completion record

Success by Sesame’s program page allows self-cancellation before the next billing cycle, with no refunds for previous months. Its general terms impose a more specific procedure: request cancellation by email at support@sesamecare.com or phone at +1 (877) 947-6411 at least 48 hours before renewal processing. Rather than choosing the more convenient wording, ask which rule governs your subscription. Save the request, timestamp and confirmation that the next charge has been disabled; a message saying the team received your inquiry is not necessarily that confirmation.

CoreAge Rx permits cancellation through the patient account or Patient Care Team to prevent future renewal charges. Enhance.MD requires cancellation before the next cycle but leaves complete conditions to checkout. Found’s 48-hour language is a recommendation, not the same wording as Sesame’s notice requirement. For each, ask when cancellation becomes effective and what remains accessible. Sesame’s general terms allow access through the paid term but deny a prorated refund of that term’s recurring subscription fee.

Ask what kind of refund you are requesting

An initial eligibility refund is different from a refund after changing your mind. CoreAge Rx’s FAQ promises an automatic 100% refund if the provider does not approve the prescription. Its refund policy instead returns the refundable treatment or medication portion and retains any applicable $50–$100 consultation fee. Ro promises to refund the initial $39 if you are ineligible, while another passage says membership is charged only if you are eligible. Ask each company to explain the actual payment sequence and any retained amount before relying on the broader promise.

Enhance.MD offers a full refund of the initial payment if onboarding determines that you are ineligible for its formulation. Sesame offers a full refund when cancellation occurs at least three hours before the first visit; it does not refund the first month after that visit occurs. Found’s membership policy lists cancellation within three days or before completing the first consultation, followed by wording that makes the relationship between those milestones unclear. Its policy also distinguishes disqualification from every treatment option from simply not qualifying for your preferred medication.

Locate the pharmacy order before assuming it can be stopped

Ask for a status expressed as a concrete event: awaiting documents, under clinical review, approved, transmitted, dispensed or shipped. CoreAge Rx permits an order cancellation request only before prescription approval and pharmacy transmission, provided the order has not otherwise become nonrefundable under its 30-day rule. Once both approval and transmission occur, its policy makes the sale final even if medication has not shipped. Separately, it says orders become nonrefundable 30 calendar days after purchase, even if incomplete or unshipped, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Found’s policy makes medication and laboratory kits nonreturnable and nonrefundable once dispensed or shipped, including unused items. That is a different boundary from CoreAge Rx’s pharmacy-transmission rule. Pharmacy choice also needs confirmation: CoreAge Rx’s FAQ requires its affiliated network, while its terms allow a request for your own pharmacy before completing the order. Ro allows a preferred pharmacy but says the downloadable prescription copy is informational and cannot itself be used to fill or transfer it. These are useful questions about delivery and order problems, not just shipping details.

Separate a membership stop from a refill stop

Walgreens Weight Management advertises no required subscription: initial visits start at $49, and follow-up chat visits or additional video visits cost $49 each, excluding medication. Yet its Medicare Bridge documentation says prescriptions will be set up to autofill the next month after the first approved Walgreens fill. No subscription does not mean no recurring pharmacy activity. The consulted documents do not explain how to disable that Bridge autofill. Ask the pharmacy about the pending fill separately from asking the clinical service about appointments.

Refill responsibilities differ elsewhere. Found’s insurance pathway requires synchronous video visits before each refill, with a visit copay typically around $30 in addition to the plan price. Its cash-pay care is usually asynchronous text-based care without a separate visit copay. Sesame’s Wegovy page describes requesting refills by messaging the provider rather than booking a dedicated refill visit. Enhance.MD warns that pausing or canceling affects refills. Ask who will address ongoing clinical questions during any transition; a payment change is not itself a treatment plan.

Keep insurance delays and refund processing on separate clocks

Ro estimates one to three weeks for insurance coordination and, elsewhere, about one to two weeks for an insurer’s prior-authorization review. If coverage fails, it offers cash-pay options or membership cancellation. The consulted documentation does not establish general refunds for prepaid membership or medication. Ask whether membership continues billing during review and what cancellation changes. Its cash-pay partner-pharmacy prescriptions are described as shipping within a week once prescribed—not arriving within a week. A coverage decision, dispatch and delivery are separate milestones.

An approved refund also has stages. CoreAge Rx generally processes approved refunds in five to ten business days, with additional time possible at the financial institution; financing-provider refunds go through that provider. Enhance.MD says processing usually takes five to ten business days. Ask for approval date, amount, destination and processing confirmation rather than assuming those windows guarantee bank receipt. For insurance-related uncertainty, use questions for both the program and your health plan to distinguish consultation billing, medication coverage and your remaining responsibility.

Send one precise request to the right people

A useful message can say: “Please confirm my next charge, cancel future renewals if applicable, identify the status of my current pharmacy order, and state whether any refund is approved.” CoreAge Rx directs billing and technical questions to support@coreagerx.com and medical questions to the portal’s doctor-contact function. Enhance.MD lists support@enhance.md and 1-888-299-5088. Walgreens distinguishes pharmacist chat from clinician visits; pharmacy-chat availability does not establish a zero fee or an immediate prescriber response. Keep administrative and clinical questions clearly labeled.

If an injectable GLP-1 delivery arrives warm or inadequately refrigerated, FDA explicitly recommends not using it and contacting the provider or dispensing pharmacy. A refund dispute should not substitute for resolving that concern. FDA also recommends compounded drugs only when an individual’s medical needs cannot be met by an approved drug. Compounded preparations are not FDA approved; that alone does not establish clinical inequivalence. Use a structured comparison worksheet to retain payment, pharmacy and contact records without treating commercial promises as medical evidence.

Questions & answers

Does canceling CoreAge Rx guarantee a refund?

No. Subscription cancellation concerns future renewal charges. An existing prescription order has separate boundaries, including approval plus pharmacy transmission and the 30-calendar-day rule. Ask for separate written decisions on cancellation and refund eligibility.

Sources: [3]
Can I cancel Ro if my insurance will not cover medication?

Ro expressly offers membership cancellation or a cash-pay medication option when coverage is unavailable. That statement does not establish a refund of a prepaid plan or medication payment. Confirm the effective cancellation date and financial consequences.

Sources: [14]
Which Enhance.MD renewal date should I use?

Ask for your selected plan’s actual processing date. The FAQ describes 28-day renewals, while product pages list 4-, 12-, 24- and 48-week billing. The consulted documents do not reconcile those descriptions for every plan.

Sources: [7] [4]
How early should I contact Sesame about cancellation?

Its general terms require email or phone cancellation at least 48 hours before renewal processing. The program page describes self-cancellation before the next cycle. Seek confirmation early enough to satisfy the explicit notice requirement rather than assuming the shorter description overrides it.

Sources: [5] [16]
Does Walgreens’ no-subscription model eliminate repeat charges?

It eliminates a required Weight Management subscription, not necessarily pharmacy refill activity or paid follow-up visits. Bridge documentation describes next-month autofill. Ask the dispensing pharmacy how to stop a pending refill; the consulted pages do not document that procedure.

Sources: [9] [20]
Can Found charge for canceling an appointment late?

Its billing consent specifies a $30 fee for missing a scheduled consultation or canceling with less than 24 hours’ notice. Appointment cancellation is separate from pausing or canceling the subscription, which Found recommends doing at least 48 hours before renewal.

Our assessment

These programs offer different ways to pay for care, but none should be evaluated from a cancellation slogan alone. Before the next charge, obtain four concrete answers: the payment date and amount, the notice deadline, the current pharmacy milestone and the refund decision for each payment. Clear documentation can make ongoing care easier to manage; conflicting or unavailable terms deserve direct confirmation, not assumptions. Keep the clinical follow-up question separate so that resolving billing does not leave responsibility for your care unclear.
